Sundays and brunch. Netflix and chill. Tuesdays and tacos. You and your BFF. The best things in life come in pairs, which is how we came up with this list of 5 non-dairy dessert pairings you’ve got to try with your bestie as soon as humanly possible. So let’s dive in.

APPETIZER: Ice Cream Sundae Board

There’s almost nothing more satisfying than a charcuterie board until you learn that there’s such a thing as an Ice Cream Sundae Board. Yeah, we know. It’s like your favorite Insta-worthy cheese board, but better. Here’s what you need to create your own:

  • 3 or 4 Pints of your favorite SweetPea flavors
  • Sauces to compliment the flavors (think hot fudge, caramel drizzle, butterscotch)
  • Various toppings to add a little bit of spice–– Real Simple suggests: Apricots, Mixed Nuts, Figs, Pears, Fancy Chocolate, Pomegranate Seeds, Palmiers, Medjool Dates, Almond Cookies, Assorted Herbs

DINNER: Thai Style Mango Curry + Mango Tango Feat. Peach

While you can absolutely have ice cream for dinner (honey, we don’t judge), we found a yummy Thai Style Mango Curry from One Bite Vegan that compliments our Mango Tango perfectly. You’ve got to try it!

Now that we’re moving onto ACTUAL dessert, let us put you on to the BEST pairing, ever.

DESSERT x3: Brownies, Floats and More Chocolate – Oh my!

Our non-dairy ice cream Peanut Butter Bomb and Fudgy Vegan Brownie Cookies will transport you to dessert heaven. Cookies and ice cream have been a staple dessert combo for years, but we discovered a new recipe from the Minimalist Baker that made our mouths water by combining brownies AND cookies. Yup, dreams really do come true.

Everyone loves a good root beer float, but unfortunately, if you have dairy sensitivities, you may not have been able to indulge in this sweet treat…. Until now! Grab a pint of our That’s A Mean Vanilla Bean with classic A&W Root Beer and enjoy this bubbly, creamy treat on the porch.

We’ll wrap up our final duo with a toast…

So grab your favorite bottle of merlot, two spoons, and a pint of 3 Parts Chocolate. While wine and chocolate aren’t natural palette allies, you can find a delicious balance between the two by following a few basic guidelines. “To keep things simple, start with a wine that is slightly sweeter than the chocolate or chocolate-themed dessert.” –– The Spruce Eats. Also, keep in mind that one person’s taste can vary from the next, so if your BFF doesn’t share the same love for Merlot, grab her a bottle of Pinot Noir. You each get your own bottle….. WIN-WIN!

Look, whatever you choose, you really can not go wrong. So grab your BFF, your quaranteam, or schedule that Zoom call with your old college roomie (who you sent some SweetPea to) and get on this dessert train. It’s going to be great! Also, WE WANNA SEE! Show us your fabulous dessert pics by tagging us on IG and FB at @sweetpeawow and be sure to use the hashtag #sweetpeawow on social! Oh and P.S. If you haven’t sent your BFF, your grandma, or your neighbor down the street a pint WHAT EVEN ARE YOU DOING? Get on it!
