We love a challenge as much as ice cream

It began with the opening of a single ice cream shop in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1987. We’ve expanded our ice cream game ever since. That single shop grew to multiple stores, and those stores lead to us crafting ice cream cakes for supermarkets.

The great ice cream rebellion

Not everyone in our scoop-loving family could get in on the sweet and creamy goodness of ice cream. Let’s just say ice cream doesn’t love everyone back. We found the non-dairy options, but none were as satisfying as the real stuff. Filmy mouthfeel. Icy texture. Weird aftertaste. You know what we mean.

Peas, love and happiness

We’re not ones to cry over an empty cone. We set the impossible goal; to craft a non-dairy alternative that delivered a true ice cream experience. It took a number of years, a lot of hard work, experimentation and taste tests. Then, eureka! SweetPea was discovered. A creamy, sweet treat meant to be shared by all!
